The Sunny Sunday Sunshine Bag!

I don't know if it was the sun or the scent of spring in the air, but today I felt like making a bag!!

Considering the fact I've never made a bag before, I decided to start slow and make myself the first (and easiest) bag from Lisa Lam's The Bag Making Bible: the Versatile Book Bag.



So off I went choosing fabrics...



... measuring, cutting, pinning, ironing...



... and sewing!



While Boots slept in the sun...



... I made a modest bag...



... with sunny handles...



... and sewed them together.



The result? One very happy...



... very bright...



... Sunny Sunday Sunshine Bag!!! :)



If I wasn't ready for Spring before, I surely am now! :)

It ain't easy being green!

Oh my!! I've been such a bad blogger lately!!! Due to back pain I tried to spend as little time in front of my computer as possible, which did wonders for my back... but not so much for my blog :)

So here's 5 random things I've been up to these past few weeks (for some odd reason all containing the colour green... ;)!

1. Me and my new macro lens are still obsessed with dewdrops...

3. I decided to declare my Love For Dots by buying this super cute Cath Kidston saddle bag! :)

DOMO LOVES YARN!!! :)

Once upon a time...

... there was a practical, yet very ugly, camera bag.



Instead of throwing it away its owner decided to add a little colour to it, in hopes it would become Less Ugly. So the owner got out some tools...



... and made the Ugly Bag a beautiful happy strap!!! :)



It was yellow...



... and had dots on it!!!



And even though the bag is Still Ugly...



... they lived happily ever after anyways! :)

I ♥ macro (and my new lens :)

Remember me telling you about ♥ing bokeh? Well, I also ♥ macro! :) And this week, after a year of using my Canon EOS 500D, I finally bought myself a MACRO LENS!!!



A Canon 100mm F/2.8 to be precise! Finally, no more restrictions!!! :)

And the results? Let me put it this way:

Small cats, big world ~ Part Two!

One minute you're staring out of windows...



... falling asleep in someone's arms...



... running around...



... and playing with sticks...



Next moment you get the sneaky suspision...



... something is TERRIBLY WRONG!!!



And then there it is: your worst nightmare...



... it's TJIBBE, THE NEIGHBOUR'S CAT!!!



And it is actually getting PETTED by your human slaves...!!!

That is the moment when Boots (aka Das Boots) starts talking with her expression again and says:
