New Neighbours: Part One

Never judge a book by its cover...

... except when the book in question is yellow. And covered in swans. And happens to be one of your favorite books of all time.

I - of course :) - already own a paperback copy of Pride and Prejudice, but when I saw this hardback copy on ModCloth I just had to get it.

Because you know what? Sometimes you just have to allow yourself to indulge in pretty stuff.

And pretty it sure is :)

Little things

The warm sun.
A fresh summer breeze.
A soft, colorful blanket.
The grass beneath my bare feet.

Just a few little things I enjoyed today.

Strawberries & whipped cream

It's Sunday.
It's raining.
I'm restless.

That's it, people: all I need to justify comfort food ;)

And hell! This is not even real comfort food! It contains FRUIT, which makes it a healthy snack! Don't you see all those super HEALTHY, beautiful strawberries?

They're right underneath that ginormous amount of whipped cream. Being all healthy and stuff ;)

There... and back again

After weeks of looking forward to my holiday, I can't believe how quickly it flew by!!! :( Sure, it's good to be home again... but I wouldn't mind adding another couple of weeks (or months... or YEARS ;) to happy, careless, sunny days in a foreign country!!

I left J at home and together with a friend took the train (or actually: three trains and a bus) to Sauerland, Germany...

... where we woke up to wonderful views...

... hiked through beautiful mountains and fields...

... past beautiful streams...

... and rested beneath green branches.

In other words: we had a lovely, lovely time!! And I can't believe it's over already. I'm glad I took about a gazillion photographs...

... so I can still relive my holiday as much as I'd like ;)
