Coldness!!

Yes, my friends... Winter has arrived! :)

Despite my three pairs of socks, snowboots, knitted beanie, thick scarf and mittens, I was STILL freezing as I ventured into The Wild this morning! And there wasn't even real snow yet :)

So coldness? YES! But oh how pretty it was as well :)

I even found some beautiful colours!

And a deer found me :)

Spot the deer! :)

(For a moment I kind of wished I had a telephoto lens so you could actually SEE the deer... Then I remembered I love Where's Waldo - so it's all good :)

I ♥ doodles!

If there's one book that makes me wonder why I don't draw/doodle/colour anymore...

... it's this one!

Sure, you could buy it for your kids.

But better yet.....

... BUY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

Because seriously...

... why should the kids get all the fun?!

An Idiot Abroad

As winter is slowly but surely settling in, I’m still in movie-mode, devouring everything that moves :)

Last seen: An Idiot Abroad, a television series in which Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant send their friend Karl Pilkington to the seven wonders of the world… and even though most people would be absolutely delighted to travel the world, Karl is not impressed and very uncomfortable – and it’s absolutely hilarious.

I’m telling you: I'm joining the Karl Pilkington-fanclub!! ;) And for those who do not know Karl Pilkington: here are four more clips to introduce you to him :)

1. An introduction...

2. The best comeback :)

3. On monkeys and infinity

4. And last but not least: Karl meets Warwick Davis!!!

"Hang on a minute! Who put you in goal?!?!?!"

Instant classic.

Welcome to Geekville!

People, every movie that starts off like this...

... is bound to be AWESOME!!!

The second I saw the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World my little geek-heart skipped a beat!

I mean: seriously. Game references, comic book fonts AND lightsabers in the same movie?

*DROOL*

So I finally got a chance to see it and I’m happy to say: it rules. No disappointments caused by high hopes and insane expectations. Just one of the COOLEST flicks of the year.

So go check it out. Visit Geekville. And enjoy your stay! :)

Autumn fail

Considering the fact autumn so far has been a complete letdown compared to last year, with the past few weeks being grey and rainy and dull, I decided to start my Sunday with a little trip into The Wild.

The good news: no rain! :)

The bad news: a LOT of mud...

... and most of the beautiful leafs already on the ground or well on their way... :(

Luckily for me there was still a bit of sunshine...

... some wildlife...

... and a few pretty colours left!

Dear people of the Earth!

I am BACK! :)

After a very hectic month the weather caught up with me, and I spent the last week in bed with the most terrible cold! I swear there was snot coming out of my ear at some point, but I’ll spare you any further details…

There is one upside to your body reinventing itself as a mucus carrying-vessel: the only thing you can do is lay very still, and watch stuff on TV. LOTS of stuff. In only a few days I’ve managed to watch True Blood Season Two (12 episodes, 60 minutes each), The Young Victoria, Get Him to the Greek, Cop Out, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Babies and A LOT of Animal Planet

But honestly, I would have been just as happy watching a certain movie over and over again, a movie that’s without a doubt one of my favourite movies of all time, the one I watch every time I’m sick or sad or for any other random reason: Pride and Prejudice!!

Don’t know what it is about this one, but I could watch it a hundred times and not get bored!! Enjoy the wonderful opening sequence – and the rest of the movie (!!!) – here on Youtube!!!
