Art Swap Sneak Peek :)

Oh Blogland... Shame on me!!! Due to lack of energy I haven't blogged in over a week... Forgive me! Since I'm not able to craft for a while I was too 'busy' hanging around my house watching tv-shows and browsing youtube!!...

To make it up to you: here's a little sneak peek of my contribution to the art swap I joined, organized by Micki from The Secret Hermit!!

I will reveal the end result this weekend :)

Now off I go, back to my laziness, without any feelings of guilt whatsoever. Because sometimes you need to work hard and do important stuff, and sometimes you just got to chill, sit back, and enjoy the hell out of it! ;)

Listening to: Passion Pit

The good news: my neck and shoulders are doing much better after a week of using severe muscle relaxants!! No more constant pain - YAY!!! :)

The bad news: crafting is still a big no-no... :( I made an exception for an art swap organized by Micki from The Secret Hermit, but I could only craft 10 minutes at a time, and that's just not enough when it comes down to crafting...

(I did manage to finish my part of the swap though, so more on that later!! :)

For now, I'll just have to be patient and hope I'll be able to craft more and more over the upcoming months.

In the meantime I'll just listen to one of my favorite songs of all time: Sleepyhead by Passion Pit!!!! :)

A Little Saturday Afternoon Delight :)

This clip is almost a year old, but I just stumbled upon it on youtube, and I'm absolutely loving it :)

"Is it true you turned down Mission Impossible III, Pirates of the Caribbean and Ocean's Thirteen?"

"Yeah"

"Are you mad?!"

"No. I was busy."

:D

Thanks for this interview, Ricky! It wasn't only funny, it was also inspirational. And I really needed a good laugh!! :)

Goodbye Polleke!

Our beautiful Polleke left us today after almost 2,5 years. We loved her curiosity from the moment she came to live with us, as small as a little mouse...

... all the way to this:

She was our last rat standing - the very last one of the group to go. Now all there's left is an empty cage. No more sleeping in a pile, no more of this:

It truly is the end of an era!! :(

Goodbye Polleke! Back to your sisters you go!

February blues...

It happens to me every year: the February blues... Winter seems to have been here for ages and Summer is nowhere in sight...

So what do I do when winter has finally hit hard with its bitterly coldness? And when my back is still not strong enough for me to craft? And when I've got the flu for the THIRD TIME in two months????

I look at pretty outfits and pretend it's summer!!! :)

(Click on the pictures to take you to the image source!!)

Aaahhh!! I can almost feel the sunshine on my face already :) A fresh breeze... A cold lemonade... Happy dresses, pretty colors and cute shoes :) YES!!

Thank you Pinterest. I needed that ;)

Home Alone

For the past eight days, J was busy skiing in the French Alps, and I was busy taking care of our house, our pets, and myself ;) I'm not very used to being on my own, so I was a bit worried about two things: being home alone at night ("WHAT'S THAT NOISE?!?!?!") and cooking for myself ("pizza or pancakes tonight??").

But it turns out not sharing a bed can be GREAT (having twice the room and laying diagonally isn't so bad at all ;) and I ate very healthy indeed!!! Seriously: no snacks and lots of fruit and veggies all week long!!! YAY FOR ME!!!!

So on my last day alone....

.... I celebrated with a BIG FAT CHOCOLATE DONUT!!!

:D

You could call it an epic fail. I just call it the joys of life ;)
