Super happy crochet flowers!

It was my mom's birthday last week, and I really felt she deserved some flowers! Buying them however, seemed a bit too easy :)

So I took this pattern, some wooden sticks & a few cute buttons...

Super happy crochet flowers!

... and made some flowers myself!!! :)

Super happy crochet flowers!

They are so much fun to make!

Super happy crochet flowers!

And such a happy gift to give :)

Super happy crochet flowers!

And the most important thing: my mom seemed to love them, and put them in a little vase on her desk!

They looked so cute, I might just have to make some for myself :)

Flicka!

Hej alla! Hur mår du?

(...)

Okay... So I still don't know any Swedish... But I did manage to translate a whole pattern from Virka Amigurumi by Mia Bengtsson!! Yay for me!! :)

The pattern was on page 43. The last page of the book. Svårighetsgrad: utmaning. Which basically means: challenging! Because crocheting a foreign pattern alone would be waaay too easy... ;)

The pattern named Flicka (Girl) was the reason I bought this book. Sooooooo cute!!! I’m really happy with the result as well!!!

So here it goes…

I’m going to make this a scroll-down-ta-daaa-thing, so wait for it…

TADAAAAAAAA!!!!

:D

So what do you think? Is she cute or what?! I love her, erm, huvudbollar!!! :)

And I think the button is just perfect!

And you know what? I want to make another one!!! Or two!!! In different colours!!!

*sigh*

I love crochet :)

Hooked: business card holder

After a two day time out I feel like I should be well again. Or at least pretend I'm well. Well enough to blog anyway...

So let's start with a little crochet-project I have been meaning to share with you. After combining felt and fabric I really wanted to try and combine crochet and fabric. I thought I would start with something easy: a business card holder!

I expected it would be difficult to join the fabric with the yarn in an invisible way, but it turned out to be very easy using a ladder stitch.

I am not sure if I'm completely happy with the end result yet, but for a first attempt it's not too bad. The fabric is cute as hell, so that helps ;)

I also love the colour of the button! Such a beautiful shade of green!

I don't know about you, but I feel a little better already :)

Colorful Christmas
