Soup in the Summer...

Where the hell is the summer, people??? :) It seems like we've fast forwarded to the fall around here, and we've had nothing but rain, rain, rain these past few weeks...

The good news though: this weather is perfect for soup - which I happen to love :) I made broccoli soup the other day, and it was so good and healthy - and soooo easy to make!

Just cut an onion...

... 250 grams of leek (about 2 or 3 stems)...

... one piece of broccoli and a potato...

... and throw it all together in a pan.

Fry for a bit in some butter, add 1,5 liter of water and 3 chicken bouillon cubes, and then cook for 30 minutes. Blend it all together, and add some cream if you like.

And there you go: easy as pie broccoli soup :)

Perfect for dinner or lunch! Especially when it keeps raining... and raining... and raining... ;)

Cupcake party!!! :)

Yesterday me and my friends organised a cupcake party for ourselves!!!

There was loads of tea...

... a nosy cat...

... and the most amazing homemade cupcakes our friend K made especially for this occasion!!!

So there we were: EIGHTEEN cupcakes versus only four of us...

And guess what?

We totally won! ;)

Baking time!

Maybe it’s because of Easter, or because of this movie I saw the other day, or maybe it’s just because I CAN...

... but I really felt like baking a pie yesterday!! :)

There were apples...

Mixed with cinnamon & sugar...

There was dough...

And there was a big mess in my kitchen! ;)

But in the end it all worked out!

Not bad if I may say so myself. Not bad at all :)
