Hello sunshine!!

Has it really been nine days since my last post?! Time really does fly when you're having fun ;) The weather has been amazing this past week, plus we had a few days off, so needless to say I didn't spent much time behind my computer :) It was all about enjoying the sun and barbequing with friends :)

I've also been enjoying a little crochet for the first time in months, which I now have to pay for with some more back pain... But it is a fun, colourful project, so more on that soon!!

In the garden - Part Two

My two cats always follow me around everywhere, so when I'm in the garden, they're in the garden. It's always a great opportunity to take some snapshots!



They love hangin' around on rooftops...

...playing with sticks...

... or just chillaxing in the tall grass.

Sometimes our neighbour's cat stops by for a visit and hides in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to sneak up on my cats...

It always results in a moment of sheer terror followed by a fierce counter attack ;)

Yes. When it comes down to the creatures in my garden, our two cats are definitely my favourite ones! :)

In the garden - Part One

Although the weather hasn't been amazing these past few weeks, Spring has definitely arrived! The whole garden is buzzing with life, and me & my macro lens are loving it :)



We don't have the most organized garden in the world... Actually, stuff is just growing wherever the hell it wants, and we just have to deal with it ;)



But to be honest, I like it that way. What's the fun in exploring a garden when everything is organized and under control?!



Yes. When it comes down to gardens, I prefer chaos any time! ;)

Craft Room Redecoration!!

It was very very hard to decide what to do with my craft room. I looked at many photographs for inspiration and drooled over loads of pretty vintage desks and drawers... but eventually ended up at Ikea again... ;)

But I couldn't help it! The red Hemnes drawers are so pretty...

... and the white Hemnes desk + add-on unit is sooooo practical!!

It has so much room to store and display all my stuff - I really love it!! Paintings on top...

... and stuff... well, everywhere else ;)

I put my wooden brooches by Craftyfolk on a string and attached it to the desk with pretty tape :)

Can't have too many owls...

... or moustaches for that matter ;)

The pretty illustrations J got me for my birthday are displayed on top of the add-on: Some Like It Hot by handz and the (amazing!!) Polar Bear by Native Vermont! Love love love these so much!!!

(Man, I have lots of stuff... :D)

All in all I'm pretty pleased with my new craft room :) Now all I got to do...

... is get my craft on!! ;)

Post-holiday blues

After Day 6 of our holiday in Yorkshire came Day 7, when we took a stroll around Ilkley, and Day 8, when we left. And after that? A big old post-holiday blues... I had fun celebrating my birthday, hanging out with friends and family, going to Ikea and redecorating my craft room, but at the same time I just wanted to go back on holiday!! I really miss the beautiful landscapes of the UK; Holland is soooooo boring and flat... (Although we have very lovely skies ;)

So if anyone from Yorkshire wants to swap lives - let me know!! ;)
